OUR STORY
A village habit, made for the city
Chumuk began with a question our grandmothers never had to ask: why does a glass of water on a hot afternoon no longer do what it used to? The answer was never the water. It was everything that used to go into it — soaked isabgul, tokma, a pinch of salt, unrefined sugarcane — and everything the bottled shelf has since replaced it with.
So we built the glass back, ingredient by ingredient, and left out what was never in it. No artificial sugar. No dye. No flavour that could not be traced to something grown. What is left is a powder that dissolves in cold water in about twenty seconds and tastes the way a Bengali summer is supposed to.
Today Chumuk is made in Dhaka in four blends — energy, electrolytes, digestion and hydration — and it is still the same habit. One glass, once a day, before the heat wins.

WHAT WE HOLD TO
Four rules we do not trade away
01
Nothing artificial
No dye, no synthetic sweetener, no flavour essence. The pink is beetroot; the sweetness is sugarcane.
02
Whole, then ground
Every ingredient is bought whole and ground in-house. A pre-blended input is a place for something else to hide.
03
Traceable batches
Batch number, blend and date on every jar, tied to the day’s production record.
04
Priced to be daily
A habit at ৳ 590 a jar is a habit. At twice that it is a treat, which is not what this is for.
SOURCING
Where each ingredient comes from
Eight ingredients, bought whole and ground by us. Nothing arrives pre-blended, because a pre-blend is a place for something else to hide.

Sugarcane
Unrefined, so the potassium and the minor minerals survive the process.
Sourced in Bangladesh

Isabgul
Husk and whole seed, both. It is the fibre that makes the glass sit well.
Imported · Sindh & Gujarat belt

Chia seeds
Bought whole and unhulled, so the Omega-3 and the swell are both intact.
Imported · South America

Tokma
The local cooling seed. Cleaned and sorted by hand before it is weighed.
Sourced in Bangladesh

Shahidana
A herbal-market ingredient, bought in season and stored dry, never pre-ground.
Sourced in Bangladesh

Himalayan pink salt
The electrolyte base. Rock-mined, never iodised or anti-caked.
Imported · Khewra

Jira / cumin
Whole seed, roasted and ground the same day it goes into a blend.
Sourced in Bangladesh

Beetroot
The only colour in the jar, and the reason we can refuse a dye.

QUALITY & COMPLIANCE
What every batch is checked against

BSTI licence
Held for the product category and displayed on the jar. The licence covers the blend, not just the facility.
Licence no. ————

Halal certification
Every ingredient and every processing aid is certified, which is why nothing is added downstream of the blend.
Certificate no. ————

Per-batch lab test
Microbial load, moisture and heavy metals, tested per batch by an accredited third-party laboratory.
Report ref. ————
Certificate and licence numbers are printed on every jar. Fill each one in before this page is published — an unnumbered compliance claim is not a claim.
Start with one jar
Four blends, ৳ 490 to ৳ 590. Take the combo if you would rather not choose.
